Honey speaks about Jay, making eye contact with a tearful Lola. Pam hugs Janet as she begins to cry, while Phil reassures William. Courtney quickly follows her. Outside, Lola is clearly stressed as she leans against the church wall. Back in the church, Ben says some words about Jay before returning to his seat. Louise hugs her tearful brother. Sharon is there to support the Mitchells and after the service, Sharon approaches Phil. Phil gets tearful and asks Shirley to take him home, not wanting to show his emotions to everybody around him.
As Jay is buried, Phil and Shirley arrive at No. In the distance, somebody is watching: Roxy. Eventually, things begin to liven up, as Louise suggests that Jay would hate the morbidity of the event.
Billy concedes that Louise is right; Jay would want a party. Lola is left thinking. After the wake, Maggie prepares to return to Manchester. She thanks Billy and Honey for caring for Jay, and for loving him, admitting that she feels guilty knowing she never met her grandson. Billy thanks Maggie for coming and insists she keep in touch.
Maggie asks Joel if he will return to Manchester now, but Joel insists he is settled in Walford — he wants to stick around for a little while. Maggie reminds him that his room is still open at her home; before telling Joel she is proud of him.
She hands him an envelope and tells him that she wanted to wait until she was settled before giving it to him. Joel opens the envelope to find a bundle of cash; Maggie tells Joel not to spend it all in one ago. As Maggie leaves in a car, she promises Joel to visit Walford again — remarking that it seems to be a nice place.
Joel is pleased. After the wake, Billy and Honey return home with the kids. Chrissie heads to work at the club while Courtney and Lola head home together. Honey is heating up the popcorn in the microwave and stares at it longingly. Managing to resist the urge to binge, Honey turns away — and sees Billy entering the kitchen. Honey asks how he feels and Billy admits he feels a bit off; before asking Honey how she is, admitting that he has spent the day focused on himself when he should have been checking up on her.
Honey tells Billy that she is holding it together, just about — admitting that she feels she has lost a son. Billy and Honey share a hug as Billy thanks Honey for everything she has done — and eventually, the pair share a brief kiss. Honey smiles and tells Billy that she is glad to have him in her life — the pair kiss again before the microwave beeps and Honey turns her attention back to it. Billy smiles to himself as Honey grabs the bowl of popcorn and disappears up the stairs, leaving Billy on his own.
Kush is surprised when his mother Carmel returns to Walford once more, with news — she is moving back from Dubai. Kush assumes Carmel is returning to Walford but is disappointed to learn that Carmel has met a guy and is moving up to Birmingham to be with him.
Kush quickly realises that Andy — a software designer — is a decent guy, and the pair bond as Kush reveals his love of fitness.
Darius tells Kush that he is tired of the Dubai life-style. Carmel tells Kush that she had an ulterior motive for visiting Kush; as she wanted to ask how he would feel if Darius joined him in Walford. Kush is initially sceptical but Darius convinces Kush it would be a great idea; the Kazemi brothers back together. Darius tells Kush that he will pay his way, revealing that he had a good reputation as a property developer in Dubai and plans to buy some properties in Walford now, too.
Kush agrees to let Darius move in with him, but informs his brother that he has two kids who he sees semi-regularly, and his best mate Martin also lives with him. Darius promises Kush he will cause no problems for him. Carmel is thrilled that her sons will be back together and is even more happy that the brothers like her new partner Andy.
Darius and Kush return to Walford at the end of the week, and Martin is surprised to see Darius. Kush informs Martin that Darius is moving in with them. Darius wastes no time in getting to know the ladies as he flirts with Chelsea, unaware that she is casually seeing Kush! When Darius meets his nephew Shakky, he is thrilled — and tells Kush that it was nice of him to name the young boy after their brother.
The Brannings are given more bad news at the end of the week when the police fail to identify the warehouse in which the picture of Amy was taken.
Jack grows convinced that this has something to do with Ronnie and Roxy and disappears. By the canal, Jack is waiting when a car pulls up and Adam White steps out. Adam demands to know why Jack has called, but Jack furiously tells him that he knows he has his daughter.
Adam just grins and confirms he does have Amy. Jack asks why Adam took Amy and Adam takes an envelope out of his pocket, handing it to Jack. Adam tells Jack that he knows Ronnie and Roxy are alive — and if they want to see Amy again, he wants the Mitchell sisters. Jack returns home and calls Glenda, Ronnie and Roxy to his house. Jack furiously tells the Mitchell sisters that Adam White has Amy and knows they are alive.
Roxy is horrified while Ronnie questions what they do. Jack tells Ronnie that Adam wants to see them in exchange for Amy. Glenda snaps that Adam will kill the sisters, but Roxy tells Glenda that she is willing to die if it means her daughter is safe.
Ronnie tells Jack to call Adam; and tell him that she agrees to meet him. Ronnie, Glenda, Jack and Roxy arrive at a warehouse to see Adam stood with four other men — and a terrified looking Amy. Glenda begs Ronnie not to do this but Ronnie tells her mother to shut up; and approaches Adam. Glenda begs Jack not to let Adam take Ronnie but Jack orders her back into the car.
Glenda screams at Jack to follow them but Jack remains silent. DI Steve Thompson steps out of one of the cars with a megaphone as he orders Adam to pull over; he is surrounded.
Jack climbs out of the car, followed by Roxy, while Glenda remains with Amy. Adam and his henchmen are pulled from the car while a horrified Ronnie climbs out of the back and rushes towards Jack and Roxy. Roxy hugs her sister while Thompson cuffs Adam and reads him his rights. Jack makes eye contact with Thompson and nods; before explaining that Thompson owed him for letting him believe his wife was dead. Ronnie thanks Jack but Jack snaps that this changes nothing; she is dead to him.
As Jack heads back to his car, Ronnie looks concerned as she tells Roxy this is far from over, but Roxy is just pleased to have her daughter and sister back in one piece. The Brannings return home, escorted by police, and Denise, Max and Lauren are thrilled to see Amy is home.
Thompson arrives at No. Thompson tells the Mitchell sisters that their witness protection programme is already compromised so they would need a whole new identity. Thompson and the police leave, with Thompson telling Jack he will return tomorrow after questioning Adam White. Jack hugs Amy tightly, not willing to let his daughter out of his sight.
Roxy tries to talk to Amy but she angrily tells Roxy to leave. Roxy heads out onto the Square with Ronnie. As they look around, Ronnie tells Roxy that this is it — people are going to find out the truth. Roxy suggests they let everyone know in style; before offering to buy Ronnie a drink in The Vic.
Arm in arm, Ronnie and Roxy head for The Vic. Roxy smiles before approaching Sharon and ordering a drink — Sharon is silent. Vicki steps in to serve Roxy, not knowing who she is, while Pam stands up in shock. Eva asks what is going on but is shushed by Zack, who is keen to listen — while Kat asks what the hell is going on. What next… is Nick Cotton gonna come wading through them doors? Ronnie reveals they have been in witness protection. Kim and Ronnie make eye contact while Sean approaches Roxy, in a state of disbelief.
Roxy is surprised to see Sean and the pair share an awkward reunion; while Sharon asks if Phil knows. Ronnie confirms that Phil found out recently alongside the other Mitchells. Pam asks if they know about Jay and Ronnie confirms they do. Roxy admits she managed to sneak into the funeral to pay her respects.
At that moment, the doors open — and Billy and Honey enter. Ronnie smiles. Vicki offers to try and lure Dennis out of his room and suggests they go to a theme park for the day. Dennis accepts and he and his aunt head for a trip to the theme park. When they return, Denny is in a better mood and Sharon thanks Vicki; though Vicki admits that Dennis opened up to her and is struggling to come to terms with everything that happened with Edward.

Roseanne is shocked that Darlene was actually at the motel with a guy named Jimmy; Darlene says that David accepts her having another relationship. When David later gives Darlene an ultimatum about Jimmy, she chooses Jimmy, and they break-up. Dan reveals his fears about having another baby to Jackie; she reassures him by saying he always reacts this way and urges him to talk to Roseanne.
When Dan shares his feelings to Roseanne, she lashes out but later tells Jackie she is also scared. Jackie convinces her to confide in Dan. She tries, but ends up comforting Dan like always. David is devastated after breaking-up with Darlene. Roseanne encourages him to move on, but to retaliate he tells Roseanne about Darlene having used drugs. Roseanne and Dan confront Darlene when she comes home, though she initially denies it; David confirms she did and feels she will again.
Roseanne is furious and refuses to allow Darlene to return to college. Darlene says she was only experimenting and will never do it again, but Roseanne is adamant she stay home until realizing David's intent is to keep Darlene there for his own selfish reasons.
Though she cannot fully trust Darlene, Roseanne lets her return to school. October 12, Becky and Mark are arguing constantly and Roseanne finds out from Jackie that Mark has been uninterested in sex. Jackie tells Roseanne about her own sexual problems with Fred while Roseanne confides about Dan's unusual attempts to get her in the mood.
Roseanne encourages David to get out and meet girls but he is uninterested. Fred initiates an open discussion with Dan and Mark about their sex lives but all three end up knowing too much. Roseanne talks to Becky about Mark, and is surprised Becky has been confiding to David about her marital woes. David considers moving out after Becky discovers he had a sex dream that she thinks it is about her. When D. Roseanne is at first upset until Dan admits he had a similar dream about Bev when he and Roseanne started dating.
David tells Roseanne he considers her a mother figure, and Roseanne believes the dream was about his desire for affection. Becky seems disappointed when Roseanne tells her about David, and admits she is confused about her feelings for him.

He poses as a peer counselor named "Craig" and tells Jimmy that Darlene has serious mental health issues. Roseanne schemes to get D. Dan has since hired D. Darlene is furious to learn that "Craig" is David. J, is being bullied at school and Dan offers to teach him how to fight. David wants Dan to teach him how to fight, but Roseanne thinks he only wants to impress Darlene, because Jimmy Danny Masterson is a boxer.
She wants Dan to encourage David to feel good about himself, which Dan struggles with. Jackie and Roseanne head to Chicago to meet Jimmy. Roseanne dislikes Jimmy, and tells Jackie she wants David and Darlene back together. Jackie baffled that Fred enjoys spending time in Bev's company.

Roseanne, tired out by her pregnancy, lies about the doctor putting her on total bedrest so everyone will wait on her. David discovers her deception, and Jackie confronts Bev about her terrible mothering.
Fred becomes annoyed when D. Jackie confronts Roseanne about it, wanting to avoid conflict with Fred, only to walk into it with her sister. Jackie emphasizes she loves her nephew, and D. Meanwhile, Dan plans Roseanne's birthday celebration with their daughters. David wants to date Stacy Traci Lords , the Lunch Box bus girl, but Mark risks his marriage by putting the moves on her solely to annoy David.

April 9, After an impromptu TV interview at the diner goes spectacularly well, Roseanne prepares to "Wake Up Chicago" on a morning TV talk show with Jackie as her manager as a news commentator with a unique and "opinionated blue-collar outlook".
Meanwhile, David plans for his and Darlene's wedding, but offends Bev as well. Bev's smitten with her passionate ballroom-dance instructor, but becomes angry when he flirts with the newly-divorced Jackie. Dan suffers a heart attack at Darlene and David's wedding. Dan returns home to a strict diet and exercise regimen that he soon violates behind Roseanne's back. When Roseanne finds out, it leads to a huge argument, unleashing old resentments, resulting in them trashing the house due to their suppressed anger.
Roseanne walks out, and Roseanne and Dan's marriage may collapse. Regretting breaking the rules and fighting with Roseanne, Dan fixes the house after the huge fight and leaves a ton of messages on Jackie's answering machine.
Later, Jackie convinces Roseanne that Dan and Roseanne were meant for each other and, when she is finally alone with Andy and Jerry, makes a shocking discovery about her lottery ticket after watching the lottery drawings on TV. The lottery ticket mentioned in the last episode is a winner. Amid the press bombardment, the family ponders what to do with all that money. With a full dinner table and a home-cooked meal, Roseanne daydreams about the lottery winnings; from a riot on the Jerry Springer Show to a glamorous photo shoot with Jackie and Hugh Hefner.
Dan announces that he is going to visit his mother, who is in a mental hospital in California. Jackie and Roseanne wait out the Conner house's renovation at a spa.
Carrie Snow and Janet Leahy. Prince Carlos Charmaine Jim Varney from Moldavia , visits Jackie, with whom he is enamored after seeing her on television. Roseanne warns Jackie to remain distant, until Leon discovers that he is really a prince.
October 22, Roseanne and Jackie's spa trip subjects them to a strict diet, acid peels, skin toxins, and exhausting hikes. Tammy Faye Messner appears in this episode. When she finds the family's stash of "happy pills," Roseanne teaches them to scream out their anger. Dana Gould appears in this episode. Bakshmi from women-hating terrorists on a train to Washington D. Steven Seagal appears in this episode. Roseanne, Jackie, and the family finally arrive home after all the excitement. Roseanne is disappointed that Dan has not returned from his trip.
Her Thanksgiving dinner is being catered, so she and Jackie open the Lunch Box as a soup kitchen. Bev reveals more than she intended during the Thanksgiving feast. December 17, After two months in California, Dan returns home for Christmas, but he seems distracted and treats Roseanne coolly. Jackie later overhears Dan having an intimate conversation on the phone with another woman.
Jackie confront Dan, who admits to having a relationship with his mother's nurse. She tells him to confess to Roseanne or else she will tell her. Roseanne tells Jackie that Prince Carlos has married his maid. Darlene says no, but David thinks he should. While D. Dan finally confesses to Roseanne about his affair. She kicks him out, though she is devastated. January 14, A depressed Roseanne avoids Dan and drives around town eating fast food and listening to radio shows. She believes Dan had an affair because of her appearance.
As Dan packs his bags to leave, he and D. An angry D. Dan is about to return to California, but cancels his flight and moves into a motel. January 28, A depressed Roseanne locks herself and Jerry in her bedroom, soothing her sorrow with fattening foods, trashy magazines, and TV.
Friends and family attempt to get her out, but they ultimately fail until Mark tells her that Dan has not left town and wants her back. Roseanne and Jackie attend an exquisite luncheon where they discuss politics and other topics with Lanford's elite.
Roseanne meets Edgar Wellman James Brolin , son of the owner of Roseanne and Jackie's former workplace, and Edgar asks Roseanne for money to help keep Wellman Plastics open--it fell into decline after the sisters left in Jackie believes that Roseanne and Edgar Wellman are an item for real--they are not, although Roseanne wishes they were. Roseanne claims their relationship is only about business; Jackie does not believe her. Roseanne dreams that the couple are from the movie Evita.
Jackie confirms it, but Roseanne returns to Dan. As they reconcile, they receive a call from Jackie: Darlene is in labor and has been given a drug to stop her from delivering a premature baby.
Darlene gives birth to a dangerously premature baby girl, Harris Conner Healy. Roseanne consults other doctors from around the world, but what ultimately keeps the baby alive is Roseanne's own grandmotherly love and nurturing. March 4, March 18, Roseanne and Jackie learn that producers want to make a TV-movie about the Conners, but also find out that they want to make distressingly drastic changes: gorgeous actors to play the Conners, fewer blue-collar plot twists, etc.
Meanwhile, Bev, Leon, and Joyce naively reveal all kinds of information about Roseanne's life and past to a tabloid reporter. May 13, Dan's mother Audrey now played by Debbie Reynolds , before played by Ann Wedgeworth in the Thanksgiving episode , visits unexpectedly and keeps trying to kill her son for putting her away for so many years.
