I just fit them by extending the struts and opening the cabinet door to mark the attachment point. I think I tried some 40psi struts the first time and they were way to strong, ended up with 15 pounders. Thank you, but I'm looking specifically for the installation of the H strut. If you can manually extend the strut, do so and measure the length. Allow extra space for the mounting bracket. Then open the cabinet door to near degrees and measure the distance you have to work with. I don't have the H but mine are 6.
