A third component, Report Builder, is used to customize reports and write new reports. After the successful installation of the CRM client you will now need to have it configured to work in Outlook.

To do so, open and login to Outlook. Click on this tab to commence with the configuration. Click Next to continue with the installation. A warning box will appear telling you to close Outlook to continue. Click OK and proceed with closing Outlook. You will now be asked where you will sign into the CRM. Select the radio button An online service provider and then click Next. You will be asked to enter the web address of your CRM installation. Copy this URL into the address box of the wizard and click Next.

A pop-up box will appear asking for your username and password. Once satisfied, click OK. The wizard will ask for your confirmation via the Customer Experience Improvement Program tick the box to indicate your participation or leave it blank if you decline. Once satisfied, click Next. The wizard will now do a final System Requirements validation. Proceed to correct any errors that are not green check marked and click Next.

CRM will now configure. If successful, you should receive a Configuration Complete screen. Privacy policy. You can continue to use the familiar Outlook interface and integrate Dynamics for Customer Engagement at the same time by using Dynamics for Outlook. To install and use Dynamics for Outlook, your organization must be running Dynamics Server. To install Dynamics for Outlook, you must be able to sign in to your computer as a user with Local Administrator privileges.

In smaller companies, Dynamics for Outlook is often installed manually, on a computer-by-computer basis. Administrators or individual users who have Local Administrator privileges and who possess a general familiarity with installing software can do these installations. Make sure you have completed your desired Customer Engagement customizations. If your users will use Dynamics for Outlook in offline mode, for best performance, enable only the minimum required record types entities and views for offline use.

If you see one or more Security Warning dialog boxes, click Run in each. In the Getting Started with Dynamics for Outlook dialog box, under 2. In the Browse For Folder dialog box, select a folder to store the extracted Outlook files. We recommend that you store the extracted files in a separate folder choose the Make New Folder option in the dialog box to create a folder without exiting the wizard.

On the License Agreement page, if you accept the license agreement, select I accept the license agreement , and then click Next. To install Dynamics for Outlook without offline capability, click Install Now. To install Dynamics for Outlook with offline capability, click Options , select the Offline Capability check box on the Customize Installation page, and then click Install Now.
